أكد المجلس منذ تأسيسه عام 1981 دعمه وتأييده لمطالب الجمهورية العربية السورية لإسترداد حقوقها المشروعة وإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للأراضي الفلسطينية والعربية التي احتلتها عام 1967 بما فيها الجولان المحتل حتى خط الرابع من حزيران 1967م ، وفق مرجعية مدريد ومبدأ الأرض مقابل السلام وتطبيق قراري مجلس الأمن 242 و 338 ، وتحميل إسرائيل مسئولية تعثر هذا المسار.
