​The GCC railway route starts from Kuwait, passing through Dammam to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and from Dammam to Qatar via the Salwa port, and will connect Qatar to Bahrain, and from Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and then to Muscat via Sohar.​​
