His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Abudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Charles Michel, President of the European Council, on Thursday (August 29, 2024) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the preparations for the GCC-EU Summit of Their Majesties, Highnesses and Excellencies, the leaders of the GCC countries and the leaders of the European Union, scheduled to be held next October in Brussels. A number of issues on the regional and international arena were also reviewed, most notably the crisis in the Palestinian territories, and views were exchanged on this topic.
