His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stated that the meeting between Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC and Benelux countries discussed recent developments and the recent escalation in the region, exchanging and discussing viewpoints transparently and directly.
This came during a meeting between Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC and Benelux countries (Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands) today, Monday, April 22, 2024, on the sidelines of the High-level Forum on Regional Security and Cooperation between the GCC and the European Union (EU) in the Duchy of Luxembourg.
His Excellency the Secretary General also mentioned that several topics were discussed, most notably reviewing relations between the two sides and ways to develop mechanisms to strengthen them in a way that serves common goals.
