His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),  met with Mr Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The meeting took place on the sidelines of His Excellency's participation in the 2024 World Economic Forum in Riyadh.

During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperative relations between the GCC countries and ASEAN, in addition they discussed ways to enhance cooperation in all fields and at all levels to achieve the common interests of both sides.

The meeting also addressed the joint action plan for 2023-2027 between the two sides, which was adopted during the GCC-ASEAN Summit in 2023.
