His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held a phone call today, Thursday, August 29, 2024, with His Excellency Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to congratulate him on assuming his new role and to express his wishes for success and achievement in his duties.

The call also addressed several topics, primarily the relations between the GCC member states and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as ways to enhance these relations. 

They emphasised the importance of fostering dialogue and cooperation to achieve stability and security in the region.
