  HE GCCSG: A Prominent and Effective Role for the Gulf Health Council & the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control in Enhancing Health Cooperation and Integration among the Member States

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), praised the effective and prominent role played by the Gulf Health Council and the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control in enhancing health cooperation and integration among the member states in line with the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries,  to achieve the desired aspirations and goals in health care for their peoples.

This statement came during his visit to the Gulf Health Council and the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Riyadh.

During the visit, he was briefed on the efforts of the Gulf Health Council and the preventive centre, the cooperation between them and the member states, and the significant achievements made by the Gulf Health Council and the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

He appreciated the efforts of the staff at the Gulf Health Council and the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, as well as their continuous endeavor to enhance joint Gulf work in health, preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and health awareness fields. 

"Their contributions aim to advance and elevate the health sector in member states through constructive initiatives, programmes, and awareness efforts, responding to regional and global health issues and challenges, as well as supporting decision-making and health policies in the member states," he stated.
