The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received on Wednesday, 19 June 2019, at his office in the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, Sheikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director General of the Culture and Arts Directorate at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation in the field of culture, arts and archeology and means of developing them in support of the GCC joint work. They also discussed the GCC efforts and preparations in cooperation with Member States to prepare for the GCC participation in Expo 2020 – Dubai, where the Secretary General praised the support and assistance provided by the Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority for the GCC Expo 2020 to be presented in a positive and effective way that reflects the GCC joint work journey, its achievements, and the GCC legacy, culture, and heritage.
The meeting was attended by, Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Director-General of GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority and GCC's Expo 2020 Commissioner-General, and Mr. Hani Jamal, Director of the National Theater at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
