​His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed the Sultanate of Oman’s hosting of the talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.

He stressed that the Sultanate's hosting of these talks reflects its wise approach to promoting dialogue and building bridges of understanding among nations, as well as its continuous dedication to supporting and enhancing security and stability in the region.

He also noted that the GCC countries consistently seek, through their strong and close relations with other nations, to find peaceful solutions to conflicts and to present initiatives that benefit the peoples of the region and the world. "They strive to make every effort to promote regional and international peace and security," he explained.

His Excellency expressed his hopes that these constructive talks will lead to positive results that contribute to opening new avenues for cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, serving the security and stability of the region.​
