Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the General Secretariat held a Ramadan Iftar table on the evening of Monday, March 10, 2025, at its headquarters in Riyadh.
This event was in honour of Their Excellencies ambassadors, heads of missions, and diplomatic bodies accredited to the Kingdom, along with senior officials from the General Secretariat.
His Excellency the Secretary General stressed that this occasion, which was held in a spiritual atmosphere filled with brotherhood and communication, reaffirms the General Secretariat's commitment to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and enhancing diplomatic relations between the GCC countries and brotherly and friendly nations, as well as international organisations and institutions. This is in line with the traditions of the holy month that blend religious, humanitarian, and diplomatic dimensions.
Moreover, His Excellency pointed out that the Iftar table serves as a valuable opportunity to enhance constructive dialogue and exchange views and ideas on common issues, contributing to the strengthening of regional and international cooperation.
"This occasion also reflects the GCC's commitment to continuing its efforts to establish the foundations of communication and mutual understanding, believing in the importance of collective action and strategic partnerships to achieve development and stability at both regional and international levels," His Excellency stated.
