His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), commended the distinguished content presented by the pavilions of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sultanate of Oman, showcased alongside the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), stating that these pavilions reflect the significant development of economic, investment, and tourism projects in the GCC states.

This commendation came during His Excellency’s visit to these pavilions while participating in the 55th Annual Meeting of the WEF, where he met with several honourable ministers and officials representing the member states on Monday (January 20, 2025) in Davos.

HE the Secretary General also praised the efforts of those responsible for the pavilions, which serve as an exceptional model for introducing the international community to the investment opportunities and strategic partnerships offered by the GCC countries, noting that such initiatives enhance their standing as a global economic and tourism destination while contributing to the ambitious vision of the Council for the future and strengthening cooperation with the international community to achieve sustainable development and prosperity for the peoples of the region.

His Excellency affirmed that these pavilions not only reflect the leadership of the GCC member states in the fields of investment and tourism but also constitute a strategic platform for enhancing their presence at major international forums, as they underscore the vast potential and promising investment opportunities available, positioning the GCC as an indispensable global partner in achieving sustainable development.

In conclusion, HE the Secretary General highlighted the vital role these pavilions play in showcasing the economic and cultural strength of the GCC states, enhancing communication with the international community through the establishment of effective strategic partnerships.
