His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned the continuous attacks by the Israeli occupation on the sisterly Arab Republic of Syria and the occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights.
His Excellency affirmed that these violations and attacks demonstrate the Israeli occupying forces' lack of respect for international laws and treaties, and their ongoing efforts to undermine opportunities for peace and stability in the region.
He emphasised the GCC's rejection of the Israeli occupying forces' attempts to violate Syria's sovereignty and unity, reiterating that the Golan Heights is occupied Arab Syrian land.
He also reaffirmed the positions expressed in the statement issued by the Supreme Council of the GCC during its 45th session regarding the commitment to maintaining the territorial integrity of the Arab Republic of Syria and respecting its independence and sovereignty over its territory.
