His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack that targeted the train station in Quetta, Balochistan, southwestern Pakistan, which resulted in the deaths of many individuals and numerous injuries.

His Excellency affirmed the solidarity of the member states of the Council with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan against these acts and terrorist attacks aimed at undermining security and stability in the country. He also called on the international community to take a firm stance against terrorism.

He emphasised the GCC's steadfast position rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism that threaten innocent lives and disrupt security and stability, contradicting humanitarian values and principles.

Additionally, he expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this terrorist act, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured.
