His Highness Shaikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Bayan Palace. This meeting took place on the sidelines of His Excellency's participation in the Fourth High-Level Conference on “Strengthening International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation and Building Agile Border Security Mechanisms – The Kuwait Phase of the Dushanbe Process”.
During the reception, His Excellency the Secretary General received valuable directives from His Highness to strengthen the progress of joint Gulf cooperation. His Highness expressed Kuwait's eagerness to host the next session of the GCC (the Presidency State) to continue the Council's blessed journey.
On his part, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Highness for Kuwait's support of the GCC General Secretariat, enabling it to carry out its work effectively.
He also praised Kuwait's significant efforts in strengthening the blessed march of the GCC, enhancing coordination, cooperation, and integration among the member states for their benefit and prosperity, in accordance with the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, and in service of their peoples. He further lauded Kuwait's role in enhancing the Council's standing on all regional and international issues.
