His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), confirmed that the 6th joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the GCC and the Russian Federation, which will be held next Monday (July 10, 2023) in the city of Moscow, pursues to strengthen relations between the two sides to serve the shared interests.
Furthermore, His Excellency the Secretary General pointed out that the meeting's agenda includes various topics which will be discussed purposely for increasing joint cooperation and providing an opportunity for exchanging views on a number of regional and international files.
Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary General stressed that the GCC-Russian relations are distinguished, highlighting the two sides' desire to move forward towards cementing their links and building strong ties, as evidenced by signing the Memorandum of Understanding for the Strategic Dialogue in November 2011 by both parties and maintaining it until now.
Furthermore, His Excellency indicated that the countries of the Cooperation Council, through the generous directives of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC member states, are always working to cooperate and build relations with all countries and regional blocs, in an effort to increase and intensify the regional and international presence of the GCC by establishing strategic partnerships with multiple parties of the international community.
