His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr. Ulukbek Maripov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today, Sunday, (May 7, 2023) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary General underscored the significance of bolstering cooperation between the GCC and the Kyrgyz Republic at all levels within the framework of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed among both parties in August 2022 and the outcomes of the joint ministerial meeting between the foreign ministers of the GCC and the Central Asian countries, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat on September 7, 2022, in which they agreed on a plan for joint action that includes intensifying cooperation between the two sides in the political, economic and cultural fields. The meeting also witnessed an exchange of views on regional and international issues of shared interest.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr Abdulaziz Hamad Aluwaisheg, Assistant Secretary General for Political and Negotiation Affairs at the General Secretariat of the GCC.
