His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr. Vakhtang Jaushvili, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today, Sunday (May 7, 2023) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary General underlined the importance of bolstering cooperation relations between the GCC and Georgia before discussing ways to develop them in various fields in accordance with the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding inked between the two sides in 2017, in addition to the joint action plan that was approved in 2022, and includes cooperation in all fields of politics, economy and communication between the GCC peoples and Georgia. Moreover, the officials exchanged opinions on regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr Abdulaziz Hamad Aluwaisheg, Assistant Secretary General for Political and Negotiation Affairs at the General Secretariat of the GCC.
