His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr. Fateh Bushina, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Libya to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (Wednesday, April 5, 2023), at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
HE the Secretary General affirmed the Cooperation Council’s keenness to establish security and stability in brotherly Libya, and the exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan lands. He also affirmed the Council’s call for dialogue between all parties, and its support for the role of the United Nations and the efforts of its envoy, Mr. Abdoulaye Bathily, to reach a political solution, hold elections and unify state institutions to achieve what the brotherly Libyan people aspire to.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr Abdulaziz Hamad Aluwaisheg, Assistant Secretary General for Political and Negotiation Affairs at the General Secretariat of the GCC.
