His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Ricardo Silva-Santisteban Benza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mr Dang Xuan Dung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mr Delwar Hossain, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Excellency Mr Ulukbek Maripov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, each separately, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meetings, several topics were discussed, and the relations between the two sides were reviewed, along with ways to develop and enhance them to serve the desired goals.
His Excellency discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru the memorandum of understanding expected to be signed between the two sides in May.
He also exchanged views with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam the free trade agreement between the two parties, which aims to enhance economic and investment relations between the GCC and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Moreover, His Excellency congratulated the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on assuming his new position, wishing him success and looking forward to strengthening Gulf-Bangladeshi ties.
During his meeting with the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ambassador extended an invitation to His Excellency the Secretary General from His Excellency Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, inviting him to the second investment forum between the GCC and Central Asian countries, which will be held in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic from June 30 to July 1, 2025. They also discussed the second summit meeting between the GCC and Central Asian countries, scheduled for next May.
During the meetings, views were exchanged on the latest developments in regional and international situations and political issues of common interest.
