Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed, primarily ways to enhance security cooperation among the GCC member states in line with the visions and aspirations of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC.
The discussion also covered ongoing joint Gulf security efforts aimed at addressing regional challenges and enhancing stability and security in the region.
His Excellency the GCC Secretary General expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the pioneering role played by the UAE Ministry of Interior in supporting joint GCC security efforts, as well as for hosting today’s workshop on preparing the GCC strategy for combating drugs for 2025-2028, reflecting the diligent and distinguished efforts made by the Ministry of Interior of the UAE in collaboration with its counterparts in the member states to protect our Gulf communities.
