At the beginning of his participation, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi emphasised that the current and future challenges of any issue require serious and transparent dialogue in a comprehensive manner, covering all aspects of the issue and involving all relevant parties in order to build a more secure and stable future for the region and the world.

During his speech, he presented various numbers and statistics highlighting the strength and economic position of the economies of the GCC countries, which make countries, organisations and global blocs willing to collaborate with them.

Moreover, His Excellency said that the GCC countries have not forgotten or delayed in dealing with the challenges they face, such as geopolitical challenges, especially since the GCC countries are very keen on the stability and security of the Arabian Gulf region, stressing that achieving this goal has become necessary and inevitable. HE the Secretary General further stated that no region can prosper and enjoy security and stability when its neighbours are either under the weight of wars, suffering from various internal problems, or lack security and stability.

Regarding economic challenges, His Excellency mentioned that the GCC countries are striving diligently to diversify their economy, as they working on overcoming the challenge of developing digital infrastructure and addressing cyber challenges in the midst of current global transformations and technological progress. He explained that the GCC countries are also focused on promoting innovation in areas such as renewable energy and smart technology, combating the spread of drugs, and developing solutions to unexpected risks like the Covid pandemic.

His Excellency added that there are other hidden challenges represented by the efforts of some countries or regional or international organisations to impose certain agendas or specific ideas and ask the Gulf countries and even other countries to adopt these agendas or ideas, affirming that this constitutes a current and future challenge for our coming generations.
