The GCC Patent Office held via Visual Communication a coordination meeting on Friday, 15 May 2020 with the European Office. The meeting was within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Patent Office, to strengthen the relationship between the two sides.
During the meeting, they discussed the joint action plan for the coming period in the field of patents. The meeting also discussed the proposed action plan for a number of fields, including supporting the GCCPO efforts in raising awareness and stimulating innovation and creativity in the GCC countries. As well as, qualitative research in patent applications and technical analysis of them, and making use of the European Office databases, work procedures, and exchange Patent information, and raising the capabilities and skills of the GCCPO cadres in various of these areas.
