The GCC States representatives and the Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) held a joint meeting to discuss the GCC Railway on Wednesday, 3 July 2019, in Kuwait.  
The meeting discussed the means necessary to implement the COTIF document in operating the railway, which includes the regulations and conventions of tickets and baggage-handling systems among Member States.
This meeting comes to implement the GCC Ministerial Committee of Transportation's decision in this regard at their 21st Meeting held on 29 November 2018.
