The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani strongly condemned the Israeli Authorities demolition of Palestinian homes in Sur-Baher, east of occupied Jerusalem, stressing the GCC's rejection of these illegal acts, which confirm the Israeli authorities' determination to violate the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and increase their suffering.
The Secretary General asserted that the Israeli authorities' insistence on these practices that contradicts the resolutions of the international legitimacy, which impedes efforts aimed at achieving peace and reaching a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue.
The Secretary General also stressed the GCC support to the Palestinian people, the unwavering commitment to their just cause, and restore their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the framework of the international legitimacy resolutions and The Arab Peace Initiative.
