  The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council inaugurates the workshop on the GCC Golden Record

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani inaugurated the workshop on the GCC Gold Record, organized by GCC the Secretariat on Tuesday, 18 June 2019, at its headquarters, in Riyadh; In preparation for the launch of the GCC Golden Record, Which reflects the GCC indices and documents the achievements of the GCC individuals, companies and authorities in various areas of excellence, creativity, and innovation. With the participation of a number of the Secretariat employees concerned with this aspect of development in the GCC States.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Zayani stressed the importance of the Secretariat initiative to launch the GCC Gold Record to document and follow up the achievements of creativity, and excellence of the GCC citizens in all fields of youth, sports, and culture, and encourage them to continue their efforts reaching their universally appropriate standing.
The Secretary General expressed the hope that this workshop will be able to reach conclusions and recommendations that contribute to proposing the necessary organizational mechanisms and procedures to ensure the success of this ambitious project through which the Secretariat seeks to highlight and document the achievements of GCC citizens, institutions and authorities in various fields.
Dr. Al-Zayani said that the countries of the world celebrate the achievements of their citizens and are proud of them, and we have the right in the GCC States to give this aspect the attention it deserves. We also confirm the achievements of our youth and motivate them to continue their efforts to achieve excellence in various fields.
