The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr.
Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani congratulated the General Directorate of
Protocol on the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Certificate in cooperation
with the Department of Quality and Excellence, praising this achievement by the
Directorate as the first of the Secretariat, and looking forward to all sectors
receiving this prestigious international certificate.
This came when His Excellency received on Tuesday, 18 June 2019, at
his office in the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, Mr. Talal Abdul Salam Al Ansari, General Supervisor of the General
Directorate of Protocol, Ms. Najla
Al-Sharif, Director of Quality and Excellence Department, Mr. Khalid Abdulrahman Al Jabali,
General Manager of International Quality and Safety Co. Ltd., and a number of the
Secretariat senior officials of the General Directorate of Protocol, and the
Department of Quality and Excellence.
Dr. Al-Zayani noted the cooperation shown by the General Directorate
of Protocol with the Department
of Quality Management to complete the administrative and technical
requirements for obtaining the quality certificate, stressing the Secretariat
keenness to improve performance and develop work procedures and refining the
capabilities of all its employees in various disciplines, and praising the
efforts made by the General Directorate of Protocol to organize the meetings
by the Secretariat
sectors here and abroad.
On this occasion, Mr.
Talal Al Ansari expressed his and the General Directorate of Protocol appreciation
for His Excellency the Secretary General support to all sectors and departments
in the Secretariat to improve performance, as well as the level of services and
outputs. He expressed his pleasure for the General Directorate of the Protocol
to receive the ISO certificate and his appreciation for their efforts to
perform the tasks and duties entrusted to them.
It is worth
mentioning that compliance with the ISO 9001: 2015 standards ensures continuous
improvement of the General Directorate of the Protocol, as well as its
performance, documenting all administrative policies and procedures, Identify the
responsibilities and set appropriate standards to meet their requirements, and
develop performance indicators and follow-up, and work on quality documents,
most importantly quality policy and quality guide. It also raised the awareness
of quality management and ISO standards by training the General Directorate of
Protocol staff about the ISO 9001: 2015 principles. In addition, 28 employees
from the General Directorate of the Protocol received the ISO 9001: 2015
internal audit certificate and train two of its employees to receive the ISO
9001: 2015 external audit certificate.
