A delegation from
the GCCPOL led by Col. Mubarak Said Al Khyeli, Director General of the GCCPOL, visited
on Sunday, 14 April 2019, the Royal Oman Police. This comes within the framework
of strengthening the GCC cooperation and coordination in regards to the
security joint work.
The GCCPOL delegation
was received by Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Hatami, Assistant Inspector
General of Police and Customs for operations in the Royal Oman Police. They discussed a number of security issues related
to the GCC joint work.
Maj. Gen. Hamad bin
Sulaiman Al Hatami stressed the important role played by the GCCPOL in combating
crime, and the need to intensify meetings between the GCC Security Authorities to
identify the crime patterns and meet the challenges and rapid changes.
The delegation briefed
Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Hatami on the GCCPOL programs, projects and
responsibilities.
The GCCPOL also met
Brig. Abdul Rahim bin Qasim Al-Farisi, General Director of Drugs Prevention,
Royal Oman Police, and Col. Salim bin Saeed Al Mamari, Assistant Director
General of Criminal Investigation. They discussed as well a
number of security issues related to the GCC joint work.
