HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid
al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, stated that Their
Majesties and Highnesses leaders of the GCC States, will hold the 39th Session
of the GCC Supreme Council, on Sunday, 9 December 2018, under the chairmanship of The Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Secretary-General expressed his
pride and gratitude to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, for conveying the kind invitation to their Majesties and
Highnesses the leaders of the GCC States, to participate in the 39th Session of
the GCC Supreme Council.
He said that their Majesties and
Highnesses will discuss a number of important issues regarding the GCC joint
work and the achievements made in the framework of the GCC integration and
cooperation in political, defense, economic and legal fields. As well as the
reports and recommendations submitted by the relevant ministerial committees
and the GCC Secretariat.
The Secretary-General added that their
Majesties and Highnesses will also discuss the latest regional and
international political, and security developments.

expressed his hope that this blessed summit will lead to constructive and
fruitful results that will deepen the GCC cooperation and integration in
various fields, and achieve the aspirations of its citizens for greater
solidarity, cohesion and synergy to face all challenges; and preserve the GCC security
and stability , and the region in general.
